Reds Clobber Two 9th Inning Home Runs to Defeat Nationals on Sunday

The Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington Nationals on Sunday afternoon, (6-5), after getting a two-run game-tying home run by Will Benson with two outs in the ninth inning, then the very next batter, Christian Encarnacion-Strand hit walk-off Home Run to give the Reds the come from behind victory. The Home Run was a great moment for Encarnacion-Strand, who has struggled in the young season, hitting just .077 through the first three games. That was his first home run and first RBI of the season.

Sunday’s Win gave the Reds their first series Win of the season 2 games to 1. On Opening Day Thursday, Cincinnati Won (8-2), but lost to the Nationals (8-7) on Saturday. The 2-1 Reds will now head to Philadelphia for a 3 game road series against the Phillies starting Tonight. First Pitch is set for 6:40 PM Tonight and Tuesday and 1:05 PM on Wednesday afternoon.
