The Cincinnati Reds had a record setting night from Elly De LA Cruz and defeated the Milwaukee Brewers (10-8) in the first game of a 4 game series from Great American Ball Park. De La Cruz hit 2 home runs, one from each side of the plate. One was a 450 foot towering blast and the other was his first inside the park home run. He also scored 4 runs and stole a base, making him the first player in MLB history to do all that in one game.
Cincinnati is now 6-4 on the season and 2.5 games back of the Pirates and a 1/2 game back of the Brewers in the NL Central.
Game 2 of this 4 game series is tonight at 6:40 PM with pregame beginning at 6:10 PM on 99.3 FM/AM 600 WKYH in Paintsville.
