Kentucky Dept. Of Fish And Wildlife Releasing Wild Pig Update

The Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife is offering an update on the wild pig problem across the state.

Officials have identified the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area and a section of Eastern Kentucky including Floyd, Johnson, and Magoffin counties as the sites of remaining concern for the invasive animals.

KDFWR is reminding residents that hunting wild pigs is prohibited and they are urging people to avoid interfering with trapping efforts.

Landowners and hunters can report sightings or evidence of the animals through the “Squeal On Pigs” app or webpage.
