Leaders with Kentucky Power are asking the Public Service Commission to allow them to spread out fuel adjustment charges for January.
A much larger-than-usual charge will appear on March bills due to the frigid temperatures last month if no changes are made.
Kentucky Power is asking to divide those fees up on bills in May, June, and July in order make it easier on customers.
The utility provider is requesting a decision on the proposal by next week.
