Congratulations to Ava June Tackett, of Johnson County, on winning the Kentucky finals of the National Civics Bee.
The Kentucky Chamber Foundation hosted the finals at the Kentucky State Fair.
As part of the Civics Bee, Tackett focused her presentation on increasing voter engagement and civic leadership.
She will now move on to the National Civics Bee in Washington D.C. this fall representing the Bluegrass State.
