Beshear To Visit Eastern Kentucky Flood Recovery Projects Monday

Governor Andy Beshear will be in eastern Kentucky Monday as the region marks the fourth anniversary of the devastating 2022 floods.

The governor’s first stop will be at 10 a.m. in Perry County, where he’ll join local leaders to celebrate six new homeowners at the Skyview high-ground community near Hazard.

Later, at 11:45, Beshear will travel to Knott County for the groundbreaking of 30 new housing units at the Chestnut Ridge high-ground neighborhood near Leburn.

The homes are being funded in part through Team Kentucky disaster recovery efforts and the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund to help families rebuild on higher ground.
