The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists of daytime closures along KY 2040 in Johnson County. The work site is between mile points 2.1 (0.1 miles North of Laney Drive) and 3.0 (Banjo Branch Rd).
Crews will begin embankment repairs Monday, May 13, starting at 9 a.m. Due to the narrow road widths and size of the equipment needed for this type of repair, KY 2040 will be closed daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Work is expected to last 2-3 weeks.
Motorists will be able to access the work zone on either side but will not be able to cross. All vehicles, including emergency, will need to use an alternate route during this time. Please watch for signage and crew in and around the wok zone.
Nattco, Inc. will be performing the work. Work schedules are based on weather conditions.
