A Floyd County woman has died in a house fire.
Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson says authorities responded to the home on Right Fork of Home Branch in the Endicott community.
86-year-old Pearl Johnson was unable to escape the burning home.
The Allen Volunteer Fire Department responded on a mutual aid call from the Cow Creek Fire Department, along with Prestonsburg Fire crews and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
No word yet on what started the fire.
