Grand Jury Indicts Pike County Man in Arson, Kidnapping Case

A Pike County grand jury has returned 17 indictments during their January 20th session.  Of those, 15 were for felony crimes.  

50-year-old Marty Eugene Hurley, of Stopover, was indicted for arson and three counts of kidnapping and attempted murder.  

The indictment states that Hurley forced two women and a man into a Pike County trailer at gunpoint in May of last year and then set fire to the trailer with all three people inside.  

One of the victims was seriously injured in the ordeal.
