Gas prices are remaining steady across Kentucky, despite the national average continuing to climb.
Triple A says the average cost for a gallon of gas in the state is now at two dollars and 86 cents per gallon, which is up by only one cent compared to last week.
Nationally, the average cost per gallon has risen to three dollars and 22 cents per gallon.
Prices are expected to remain volatile, but may not go up as mush as feared, given this morning’s news of a ceasefire between Israel and Iran that could ease tensions.
After going up sharply on Monday, today’s price of a barrel has gone down.
As always Triple A says prices vary and it can pay to shop around.
