A traffic stop in Prestonsburg has resulted in the arrest of Zachary Wayne Mason who was a passenger in the vehicle stopped after a check of a license plate showed the owner had a suspended license.
A back seat passenger was reportedly acting nervously, and a K-9 officer was called to search the outside of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs.
Further investigation turned up more than 47 grams of fentanyl and nearly 2 grams of crack cocaine in the area where Mason was sitting.
Police also found a gun, cash, digital scales, and several plastic bags.
He is charged with trafficking and other related charges.
