A police chase in Floyd County led to the arrest of Jeffery Hunter on Friday night.
A Sheriff’s deputy was on patrol about 11:30 Friday night when he spotted a car pull onto the road from Route 466, then into the path of another car.
The car took off after noticing the deputy. The chase went along Routes 466 and 122 reaching speeds up to 80 mph.
The chase ended when Hunter attempted to pull into a driveway and bottomed out his car. Hunter struggled against being arrested.
While he was being searched, police found a syringe believed to be loaded with meth.
Hunter was charged with DUI despite refusing a blood test, fleeing police, and other charges.
