Mountain Parkway Traffic Alert: Traffic Switch Scheduled for June 5 in Wolfe County

A significant traffic shift on the Mountain Parkway traveling westbound from Helechewa towards Campton will be in place beginning Thursday, June 5, weather permitting. This work will begin approximately 7:30 a.m. and be completed late in the afternoon.

Beginning at Helechewa (Exit 57), westbound traffic will temporarily shift onto the newly constructed eastbound lanes. This traffic configuration will remain in place throughout the active work zone and continue to Campton (Exit 46) until further notice.

Motorists traveling eastbound and westbound are encouraged to be alert, reduce speeds and use caution when driving through this more than seven-mile stretch, and all active work zones.

Message boards, barricades, barrels and arrow signage will be in place to alert motorists to the changes.
