The Cincinnati Reds opened up the 2024 MLB Season with an (8-2) win over the Washington Nationals at GABP. Reds designated hitter Nick Martini hit two home runs and had five RBIs in his season debut.
Reds starting pitcher Frankie Montas went six scoreless innings with four hits, no walks and four strikeouts to get his 1st Win for Cincinnati. He was limited last year due to injury with the New York Yankees.
The Reds are off today, but will continue their opening 3 game series with the Nationals at GABP this weekend. Game 2 of the series will be on Saturday at 4:10 pm and Game 3 on Sunday at 1:40 pm.
