A documentary highlighting Eastern Kentucky’s recovery from the devastating 2022 floods is now available for streaming on Prime Video.
Governor Andy Beshear says “RISING” tells the story of the region’s rebuilding efforts, including the development of high-ground communities designed to help protect families from future flooding.
Proceeds from the documentary will benefit the Team Kentucky Emergency Relief Fund, which helps Kentuckians affected by natural disasters.
The announcement comes ahead of the four-year anniversary of the floods, which claimed the lives of 45 Kentuckians.
Governor Beshear and First Lady Britainy Beshear are scheduled to visit Eastern Kentucky Monday to provide updates on recovery efforts.
