Former Perry County Jail Administrator Pleads Guilty

A former administrator at the Kentucky River Regional Jail in Hazard is pleading guilty to charges.

Last August, Timothy Kilburn was taken into custody after being accused of stealing from workers compensation checks between 2013 and 2015, along with stealing from the jail’s accounts.

He has pled guilty to three misdemeanor charges of official misconduct and abuse of public trust.

Kilburn has been ordered to pay 30-thousand-dollars in restitution and now faces up to five-years in prison, though prosecutors have recommended probation.
